YUCATAN

Join a multinational group of people gathering at sacred sites in the Yucatan to welcome in the Mayan New Year - the "Year of the Seed" - with ceremony, ritual and community building. Together we will gather to learn more about the Mayan calendar and 2012, and what it can represent for each and every one of us in our own lives and communities. At pyramids constructed millennia ago to follow and reflect the pathways of the cosmos, you can connect with the energies of these stellar sites - finding within them whatever your mind, heart and soul may be ready to receive at this particular moment in your life.

The group facilitator and leader is Jose Luis Carrillo Ricalde, also known as Oxkin, who you can see and hear in the video below. Oxkin is a native of the Yucatan region and life long student of the wisdom of the ancient peoples of this region. Drawing upon both scientific knowledge and intuitive research, he and his wife Kettia have been leading groups to sacred sites throughout the Yucatan peninsula for years. Because of his expertise and deep connections with the zone, the groups that he leads have permission to conduct ceremonies at these sites - an honor not widely given by Mexican authorities. Listen to what Oxkin has to say about 2012: Please click here to print out a copy in English.

Jade Journeys founder Skye Stephenson will be the Jade Journeys guide, serving as translator, facilitator and supporter in ceremonies and site visits. For interested participants, she will offer optional sessions about how to program rocks and crystals at these sacred sites.
